Member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Head of the Refugee Affairs Department, Ahmad Abu Holi, briefed the Secretary-General of Algeria’s National Liberation Front, Abdelkarim Ben Mubarak, on the latest developments in the Palestinian arena and ways to enhance Arab and international solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
This came during a visit by a delegation from the Palestine Liberation Organization to the headquarters of the National Liberation Front in Algeria, headed by Abu Holi, along with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Algeria, Fayez Abu Aita, and members of the Palestinian National Council, including Ahmad Abu Hashish, Hassan Faraj, Taysir Nasrallah, Raed Al-Louzi, and Muhammad Al-Lahham.
During the meeting, Abu Holi reviewed the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, particularly the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, and the repeated assaults on Palestinian camps and cities aimed at displacing our people and imposing a de facto policy. He emphasized the necessity of Palestinian unity and strengthening the partnership with Arab brothers, foremost among them Algeria, which has a historic and steadfast position in support of Palestine.
Abu Holi expressed hope for continued cooperation between the two sides in service of the Palestinian cause and to fulfill our people’s aspirations for freedom and independence.
For his part, Ben Mubarak affirmed Algeria’s full solidarity with the Palestinian people, stressing that the Palestinian cause will remain the central issue for the Arab and Islamic nations. He also recalled the Algerian people’s struggle against French colonialism, emphasizing that steadfastness and resilience are the path to freedom, and that no matter how long colonialism lasts, its end is inevitable—as history has proven.
