On the Algerian side, the event was attended by the President of the Constitutional Court and the President of the Supreme Islamic Council, Professor Dr. Mabrouk Belkheir, along with members of the Council of the Nation and the National People's Assembly, representatives of the National People's Army, and a crowd of revolutionary families, mujahideen, and national figures.

In his speech, Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Al-Aid Rabika, emphasized that Algeria considers the Palestinian cause its "central cause," and that its firm positions in support of Palestine stem from the recognition of the Palestinian people's right to self-determination.

Rabika added, "Algeria will not abandon Palestine and will spare no effort in supporting the rights of the Palestinians, foremost among them the right of return recognized by the United Nations General Assembly."

Commemorating the anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba, the Minister said, "The recurrence of this painful anniversary, the Nakba, is, in its true meaning, a natural renewal of a call that has been repeated for seventy-seven years: the right of return, recognized by the United Nations General Assembly, and which remains suspended due to the occupation machine, which continues to thwart any settlement or recognition of the rights of the Palestinian people, including the rights of those who were displaced." "Forcibly, in the month of the Nakba—May 1948."

Rabiqa stated that Algeria, which a few days ago commemorated the May 8, 1945 massacres, a scar on Algeria's history, appreciates and commemorates the sacrifices of the Algerian and Palestinian peoples, who faced the same challenges of colonialism and occupation. He said, "The shared memory between the Algerian and Palestinian peoples remains alive, and we look at them with respect and pride in their immense sacrifices."

The same official also emphasized Algeria's steadfast position in support of the Palestinian cause, saying, "Algeria supports the Palestinian people's right to security and a dignified life within their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, within the framework of international legitimacy and United Nations charters." He added, "Algeria's position reflects a spirit of harmony with the historical constants derived from the values of the November 1, 1954 Revolution, which called for the elimination of colonialism and respect for the rights of peoples to a dignified life."

He cited what President Abdelmadjid Tebboune emphasized in his message on the occasion of the 2025 Arab Summit, when he said: “We are called upon today to strengthen our solidarity around our central cause, because our defense of this cause is not a matter of generosity or benevolence on our part, but rather a matter of loyalty to a historical trust borne by the Arab nation, and to a legal, moral, and civilizational responsibility borne by all of humanity.” For his part, Dr. Ahmed Abu Houli, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and head of the Department of Refugee Affairs, emphasized in his speech that the history of the Palestinian people is similar to the history of the Algerian people in that both peoples were subjected to brutal colonialism, saying: “The history of the Palestinians is similar to the history of the Algerian people in that both peoples were subjected to brutal colonialism, and the two peoples are identical in their sacrifices, suffering, and determination to persevere until victory.” He added: “What Palestine is witnessing today is the Israeli war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, the war of starvation, and the destruction and devastation of the camps in the West Bank and East Jerusalem through an Israeli-American scheme aimed at displacing our Palestinian people. He emphasized that the Palestinian people will not abandon their land and will remain steadfast, rejecting the idea of an alternative homeland or resettlement, no matter the sacrifices.

Abu Holi emphasized that the Palestinians are rooted in their land, will not abandon their homes, and will thwart all Israeli projects and schemes aimed at displacing them and denying their legitimate right to return to the homes from which they were displaced in 1948, in accordance with Resolution 194. He emphasized that all displacement projects will be relegated to the dustbin of history, and will fall on the rock of Palestinian steadfastness.

He also emphasized that "the Palestinian people's right to return and self-determination is not subject to the passage of time." Abu Holi praised Algeria's steadfast and supportive stances toward Palestine, which has been and continues to be a destination for revolutionaries and free people, saying, "We turn to Algeria when we need steadfastness, support, and assistance. The enemy is one, and our compass points toward Holy Jerusalem."

For his part, the Palestinian Ambassador to Algeria, Fayez Abu Aita, speaking about Algeria's organization of the second anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba, emphasized that this anniversary represents a tragic event that continues to haunt the Palestinian people to this day.

He said that the Nakba was the product of a comprehensive international conspiracy, in which major powers contributed to the displacement of Palestinians from their land and pressured them to leave their homeland.

He added that this forced displacement was carried out by the Zionist occupation, which exploited international circumstances to achieve its goals, making Palestine The land where Palestinians have lived for more than five thousand years is a haven for invaders. Abu Aita pointed out that Palestine is the cradle of the divine religions and the land of the prophets, and that the Palestinian people, who have lived there for such a long time, cannot forget their identity or relinquish their rights.

The Palestinian ambassador to Algeria emphasized that despite the passage of 77 years since the Nakba, the Palestinian people continue to suffer from the scourge of occupation, and that their suffering today is more severe and harsher than that which they experienced in 1948, as the Zionist occupation seeks to implement plans that it has failed to implement over the past decades.

He emphasized that these new plans, which aim to forcibly displace the Palestinian people, are being implemented through an American conspiracy aimed at imposing a new reality on Palestinian land, thus ensuring the Zionist entity further control and seizure of Palestinian lands.

He pointed out that Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, in particular, are suffering the worst conditions, as they are targeted with all means of oppression and genocide, and their lives are in danger due to the tight siege imposed by the occupation forces. He explained that this aggression spares no one, including children, women, and the elderly, who are victims of the occupation's criminal practices.

In this context, he pointed out that the number of Palestinian martyrs has exceeded fifty thousand, while the number of wounded has reached a quarter of a million, emphasizing that these numbers are increasing day by day in light of the Zionist military escalation.

Concluding his remarks, Abu Aita emphasized that the Palestinian people will remain steadfast in their land and will not give up their right to return to their homeland, regardless of the challenges. He emphasized that this right is inalienable, and that the Palestinians will continue their struggle until victory is achieved and they are able to establish their independent Palestinian state.

The event also featured a speech by the head of the Supreme Islamic Council, Mabrouk Zaid Al-Khair, in which he emphasized the unlimited support for the Palestinian cause, saying: "Palestine is Muhammad's deposit with us, a lifelong trust in our care, and the covenant of Islam is around our necks." He added, "The great Nakba of Palestine was a wound upon a wound, and it was the greatest catastrophe. The pandemic of aggression against Algeria, and the arrogance, injustice, and outcry it entailed, is similar to what is happening now in Palestine."

Zaid Al-Khair affirmed that Algeria will always maintain its steadfast position in support of the Palestinian cause, saying, "Algeria's position, as firm as mountains in times of hardship and tragedy, stands with infallible Palestine, oppressor or oppressed, and with beloved Gaza, without hesitation or suspicion."

It is worth noting that the forum included a speech by Dr. Taj Eddine Taibi, a lecturer at the University of Djelfa, who addressed the deep cultural ties that unite the Algerian and Palestinian peoples.

Taibi pointed out that these ties extend throughout history, reviewing in this context the role of great Algerian figures such as Abu Madyan al-Ghauth in supporting the Palestinian cause.

He also emphasized that Algeria remains steadfast in its position on Palestine, supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and always affirming its commitment to the principles of Arab and Islamic solidarity. For his part, Palestinian journalist Mohammed Lahham emphasized in his intervention the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to their land, noting that the steadfastness and continuous sacrifices of the Palestinian people over the years have contributed to changing the balance of power at the international level. Lahham added that this steadfastness and great sacrifices have prompted more than 148 countries to recognize the Palestinian state and the legitimate rights of the Palestinians. He emphasized that the growing international recognition of Palestine reflects the growing support for this great people in their journey toward freedom and justice, and is an important step toward achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
