His Excellency Engineer Mazen Ghoneim, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), received His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Abu Holi, member of the Executive Committee of the PLO and Head of the Refugee Affairs Department.
This meeting took place during Dr. Abu Holi’s visit to the Kingdom to attend the consultative meeting that brought together the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, representatives of the League of Arab States, and the African Union, in addition to a number of bilateral meetings.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the important role played by the Refugee Affairs Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization in following up on refugee issues and working to improve their humanitarian and living conditions at all levels, as well as the necessity of continuing support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
The meeting also reaffirmed the significant role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the Palestinian cause and the rights of our people in all forums and at various levels, and discussed mechanisms for coordination and cooperation with relevant institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, given its great respect and influential standing at both the regional and international levels.
