The Popular Committee for Refugees in Khan Younis Camp organized, today, a large-scale public march with broad participation from the residents of Khan Younis, in support of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and in rejection of the policy of service reductions that affect the services provided to refugees.

The march set off from the main streets of the camp, where participants raised banners and slogans affirming their commitment to the rights of refugees and the necessity for UNRWA to continue fulfilling its humanitarian, educational, and health roles, as it represents the international witness to the قضية of Palestinian refugees.

During the march, the Popular Committee emphasized that the reduction of UNRWA’s services constitutes a direct threat to the lives of hundreds of thousands of refugees, calling on the international community to assume its legal and humanitarian responsibilities and to work toward providing the necessary funding for the Agency without conditions.

Participants stressed that these activities will continue until there is a complete reversal of the policy of cuts, and until the rights of refugees are preserved, pending the realization of the right of return in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
