The Refugee Affairs Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization has completed the project to rehabilitate and maintain the sports hall at Al-Fawwar Refugee Camp in Hebron. The project was implemented as part of a package of Japanese grant-funded projects aimed at improving living and service conditions in refugee camps.
The project included comprehensive maintenance of the hall, which covers an area of 1,000 square meters. The completed works involved upgrading the flooring, maintaining the electrical systems, equipping sanitary facilities, as well as rehabilitating the stands and renovating the main entrance and the external courtyards of the hall.
The total cost of the project amounted to approximately USD 100,548. This development aims to provide a safe sports environment for the camp’s youth and children and to enhance community and sports activities within Al-Fawwar Refugee Camp.
It is worth noting that this project is part of a series of interventions implemented by the Refugee Affairs Department in cooperation with its international partners, to ensure the continuity and development of services provided to refugees in the camps.
